Twenty five years on from the establishment of our company, by Mr James Tannahill, Curtis Cars are now in the forefront of the motor trade in Northern Ireland.
Our business started in 1982 with Peugeot Talbot motor vehicles in Waterside, Coleraine. Peugeot was starting to become a very familiar name in every household, with vehicles such as the 205, 305 van, 504 pickup and the 505. The company enjoyed excellent success in its first decade of business.
Sustained growth throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s led us to being awarded with a second Peugeot franchise in Glengormley, North Belfast. This new site opened its doors in march 1993.
In 1998 we recognised the potential of the North West area and purchased a large site on the Riverside Retail complex, Coleraine. Shortly after, we were then awarded the Toyota franchise. It opened its doors later that year, which was the first car dealership to make the move into this area. With the site having its evident potential we moved our Peugeot franchise from Waterside to our new site in 1999.
With both Coleraine and Belfast sites having tremendous success, it was decided that another location in the North West area was required. We purchased our third site in 2003, at Pennybridge industrial estate, Ballymena. When a sencond Toyota franchise became available we built Toyota's new 'retail concept' showroom and started business later that year.
Curtis Cars now trade from three sites which employ over 100 people. With a comprehensive portfolio of new & used cars, 4x4's and commercial vehicles, we are in a unique position to satisfy the full range of today's customer requirements.
"The Curtis Group are fully committed to providing our customers with an unrivalled service which we believe is paramount."
